                        Claim for damage to the property and householders vehicle, resulting from a branch
                        breaking off the tree, against the Parish Council.
18/112.1.1       The matter is still being considered by the Insurers.  The Parish Council believe that
                        the land does not belong to Parish Council and currently this is the view of the Insurers.

18/116.1          Councillor Snowden
                        Concern regarding the state of the footpath from the bottom of Chebsey Bank that
                        passes by the Grass Dryer.  A new section of fencing which included a strand of barbed
                        wire had been erected and the hedge cut back with the remnants of the cut hedge now
                        forming part of the footpath walking surface.  A trip hazard plus the possibility of
                        grabbing the barbed wire.
                        County Council Rights of Way officer for the area to be contacted.

                        A50 / Parkhall Lane hedge cutting.  Brash had been left on the Parkhall Lane verge.
                        County Highways to be contacted to ensure that the brash is removed.

                        raised at Parish Council meetings.  Copy of the letter sent to all parents included.
18/085.6          Spencer’s Educational Foundation
18/086.6.1       Letter received from Mrs Christine Dickin notifying the Parish Council of her
                        resignation as a Parish Council appointed Trustee of the Spencer’s Educational
                        Foundation.
18/085.6.2       RESOLVED to appoint Mr John Slater to succeed Mrs Dickin.
18/085.6.3       The Parish Council understands that there are three Council appointed Trustees.
                        At present there are two, Councillor Emma Beaman and the newly appointed Mr Slater.
                        RESOLVED that Councillor Michael Snowden is appointed.
18/085.7          Leigh United Charities
18/085.7.1       Mrs Dickin is also a Parish Council appointed Trustee of the Leigh United Charities
                        who intends to continue in this position until the present work is concluded.
18/085.7.2       RESOLVED to appoint Councillor A Raby as a Trustee when the position becomes
                        vacant.  The three appointed Trustees would then be Mr A Langridge,
                        District Councillor C. Whittaker and Councillor A Raby.

                        Councillor Raby to read out the names at the Service and lay the wreath.

                        Report from Councillor Snowden.  Arrangements in hand for Saturday 15th December.

18/086.3.1       Large Poppies that are being displayed in local towns and villages, where are they
                        obtained from and why not Leigh.
18/086.3.1.1    Supplied through Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal at a cost of £3.00.

18/086.3.2       Willow Tree at Spring Cottage, Lower Leigh.  Fallen branch and concern about the
                        safety of the tree.

                        Repair and resetting of the road sign at the junction of Leigh Lane and Parkhall Lane
                        Request to record that Councillor Durose repaired the sign and re-sited it at the
                        junction.  (Note:- with the help of Councillor Collins who assisted in re-siting the sign)
