16/021.1          Middleton Green Telephone Kiosk adoption
                        The transfer of the Kiosk from BT to the Parish Council has been completed.
                        The required notice posted in the Kiosk and a notice published in the Parish Magazine.
16/021.1.1       Councillor Beaman to discuss painting refurbishment with local painting contractors.
16/021.2          Meeting with County Council officers in the Parish on 22nd April
                        Those attending.         Area Highways Infrastructure Manager - Richard Rayson.

                        Two hour discussion in the Village Hall on the road network in the Parish and future
                        maintenance arrangements.  Priority routes out of Leigh discussed to prioritise gritting
                        and maintenance routes.  Amendments to the present gritting route to be considered by
                        County Highways, inclusion of Upper Leigh, Fole Lane and a route through Withington
                        to Bramshall added to Dodsleigh Lane, School Lane and Leigh Bank, omitting part of
                        Parkhall Lane.  Responsibility of ditches and grids.  Pothole and gully emptying work
                        will be on a risk basis in the future.
                        Looking at self help with guidance from the Area Infrastructure Liaison Manager -
                        Jeff Green..  e.g.  Hiring gully emptying vehicles for a day, maybe in conjunction with                  other Parishes.
                        Passing places on Hot Hill Lane considered as a target for County Highways work or
                        in association with the Parish Council.
                        County Council to look into the ongoing responsibility of tree planting on land adjacent
                        to the A50 at underpasses at the top of Leigh Bank and Fole Lane.

                        Further discussion with potential suppliers.  Preferred unit is still a SP1 but the cabinet
                        supplier options are still being considered.
                        Supplier to be invited to the next Parish Council meeting.
15/124.2          Middleton Green Telephone Kiosk adoption
                        RESOLVED to proceed with an application to adopt the Telephone Box with the
                        intention of installing a defibrillator in the future.
15/124.3          Leigh Village Hall Security System.
                        Village Hall decision on specifying and purchasing the system.
                        A grant of £1,000 from the County Police and Crime Commissioners Office is
                        held in the Parish Council account.
15/124.3.1       Report from Councillor Beaman on the specification and quotation received and the
                        need to register the system at an annual cost of £35.00 prior to installation.
15/124.3.2       RESOLVED that the Parish Council pays for the system quoted, at slightly below
                        the £1,000 grant.  Any differences to be accounted for in the reconciliation.
                        That the annual registration cost is paid by the Village Hall with the Parish Council
                        taking into account the level of annual donations to the Village Hall.

Update on the work undertaken on the grids around the Parish.
Bents Lane adjacent to the Pumping Station.  Grid continues to fill, possible sewage contamination.
Parkhall Lane opposite Bagots View.  Grid blocked, damaged culvert downstream.
Dodsleigh Lane, road surface water problems starting at Raddle Lane.
