5.1 Jubileigh Celebrations Update – (event dates 2 nd & 3 rd June 2022)

 Emma Beaman approaching sponsors to fund additional items,eg Bouncy

Castle

 Music Event in marquee behind Village Hall from 2pm

 BBQ in afternoon & Hog Roast in evening (PC paying for Hog Roast)

 The Farmers to provide the bar

 Andy Raby to provide the marquee – 8 people needed to erect/take down

5.2 Cradle seats on order – Colin Whittaker to organize payment to the PC and then

funds need forwarding to the Playing Fields –post meeting note : Funds have

been received by PC, need to chase order

In excess of 20 parishers attended.

This Parish meeting was preceded by a presentation from Kronos solar which went through the

potential application for a solar farm on land next to the railway and not to be confused with the

proposal at Edes farm. This application involves 3 parishes Leigh, Checkley and Draycott. The scheme

hasn’t been submitted for planning yet but will be subject to various surveys/ investigations

The public asked a far range of questions which are not minuted, They will return in approx. 3 months

time when detailed plans should be available.

A website is being set up www.draycott-solar-farm.co.uk.

A very short Parish council meeting then followed.

5.1 Need receipt for cradle seats to enable Councillor Whittaker to provides funds before

end of March 2022

5.2 Jubilee event. A Raby to supply marquee, PC agreed to pay for Hog roast

6 Finance

6.1 Financial Statement and Bank Account Reconciliation had been distributed and acting clerk

went through them and everything balanced as at Feb 28 th 2022

6.1 Standing orders set up for Croppers and Carol Astbury

6.4 Barclays Bank have now changed address of accounts to Councillors Beaman’s

6.5 HMRC There has been an overpayment and HMRC to refund in March, 50% PC’s and 50%

is the former clerks.

Councillors Raby and Wilson agreed to take this forward.

Councillor Barker proposed that £1000 should be allocated for a marquee (providedone

is available)

6.3 Imformation Commissioners £40 Cheque signed

6.4 Barclays Bank have now changed address of accounts to Councillors Beaman’s

Notice to be put in Parish Magazine re Jubilee/ideas/volunteers---None fund raising

event

Councillor Whittaker to see if he can fund purchase of cradle seats,

Councillor Snowden explained that suggested Old age coach trip is not viable

financially. Suggested would expand 2022 event.

Footpaths around Middleton Green are in a bad way and have fencing across, letter to

be sent to footpaths officer.

Bi-monthly meetings discussed agreed to do trial after Annual meeting

Jubilee celebrations in June . To be put on community chat to get suggestions first idea will be bring

your own food to village hall. To be expanded at next meeting. Maybe music type festival

Councillor Snowden suggested coach trip to compensate for cancellation of Xmas meal. More detail to

be added. All agreed good idea

Verge along A50 has been mowed by Councillor Wilson which is very much appreciated’

JB to try to sort out finance and paperwork for next meeting
