18/002             Chairman’s Announcements

                        The Chairman announced the death of former long standing Parish Councillor,

                        Bernice Smallwood.  A present Council Member to officially represent the

                        Parish Council at the funeral.

                        None declared.

18/004             Minutes

18/004.1          COUNCIL RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting

                        of 5^th March 2018 be signed by the meeting Chairman.

18/005             Outstanding Matters

                        Painting of the Telephone Box at Middleton Green and siting of the bench at

                        Lime Close remain outstanding.  Improving weather necessary.

                        Check of Financial Statement against Bank Statements completed.

                        RESOLVED unanimously to object to this application.  Covert build, agricultural

                        Justification, present state and usage of the site, unsuitability of Raddle Lane access.

                        Announcement of merger with Support Staffordshire.  Annual subscription on hold.

18/009.1          Councillor Raby    The Green, Lower Leigh.  Chestnut Tree canker query.

18/009.1.1       Request that the County Council inspect the tree.

18/009.2          Councillor Snowden.  County Council Highways fault reporting App

18/009.2.1       Information on its use to be published in the Parish Magazine.

18/009.3          Councillor Collins.   Flooding on Hill Lane between Morrilow Heath and Stone Heath.

                        The problem had already been reported to County Highways.

18/009.4          Councillor J Beaman.  Commenting on flooding at Fole which in the past had not

                        generally occurred.

                        Parish Assembly which commences at 7.00pm

Public Participation prior to the Meeting.  Commencing at 7.30pm.  Concluding at 8.00pm.

State of the roads in general and potholes in particular.

Continuing from Mr Slater’s comments particularly in relation to the School Bus service.  Uncertainty regarding the service, whether it would run and which roads it would avoid - first due to the snow, then flooding and now the resulting potholes.

There followed a general discussion regarding the state of the roads in the Parish.

Letter to be sent to the County Councillor for Uttoxeter Rural Division, Councillor Philip Atkins.
